In their ongoing quest to assuage the guilt of the fabulously wealthy, Aston Martin will be electrifying their ugly-duckling née-Toyota Cygnet—in case wealthy city-living socialites still think Cameron Diaz has a thing for environmentally caring men.
Aston Martin's EV Cygnet will reduce its corporate emissions levels, allowing the British luxe automaker to keep building the Vantage and Rapide, for example. Hey, somebody's gotta look responsible around here.
The Cygnet currently sells for the equivalent of $56,000 in the UK right now; an electric version will mean a higher premium on top of that. No word on whether the leather seats will be vegan-friendly and responsibly sourced from grass-fed, twice-massaged beef from the Scottish Highlands. Or if any Aston Martin owner will care.
